Lived in Milford in 1890 and began visiting the art colonly of Old Lyme after his second marriage in 1904. He and his daughter boarded at Florence Griswolds house between 1928-1935. Similar to other Impressionists after 1910 his style changed and became looser and more textured. He became well known for his bright landscapes depicting the areas around Conneticut.
